PG Courses in Fakir Chand College are fully self-financing in nature. Therefore, at least, 50% seats are required to be filled up in order to run a course.

RULES AND REGULATIONS

The admission will be cancelled if the student is found absent a) continuously for 30 days at the beginning of the session, b) continuously for 30 days during session without proper intimation to the concerned authority.

1. MIGRATION & REGISTRATION:

a) Those migrating from other Universities will have to pay a Migration Fee, Registration Fee & Sports Fee. The migration should be approved and that registration should be issued by the University. They will be admitted provisionally pending sanction of the University.

b) Migration Certificate from the University where the candidates studied last have to be submitted to the college at the time of admission.

2. COLLEGE HOURS:

The college hours for Post-Graduate Section is from 11.00 a.m. to 4.00 p.m. from Monday to Saturday.

3. IDENTITY CARD:

Each student will be provided with an Identity Card. This card is to be carried always. If the Identity Card is lost, it is to be informed immediately and a new ID Card be procured from the office. In Case of transfer or withdrawal from the College, this card must be returned to the college office.

4. RULES FOR COLLEGIATE/NON-COLLEGIATE/DIS-COLLEGIATE CANDIDATES

Selected candidates are requested to attend their classes from the very beginning of the session. The candidates who will take admission after commencement of the session, their percentage of class attendance will be counted form the very next day of their admission.

  • COLLEGIATE CANDIDATES: students are required to attend at least 65% of the total lectures delivered to them.
  • NON COLLEGIATE CANDIDATES: The candidates whose percentage of class attendance is 55% and above but below 65% of the total lectures delivered to them in the session will be treated as Non-collegiate candidates.
  • Dis-Collegiate Candidates: The candidates whose percentage of the class attendance falls below 55% of the total lectures delivered to them in the session will be treated as Dis-Collegiate Candidates. They are not eligible to appear at the Semester Examination. They may take re-admission.

5. RULES REGARDING RE-ADMISSION: For re-admission, rules as delineated in the University CSR will be followed.

6. DISCIPLINE AND DECORUM:

  • Admission of the student will be cancelled if he/she is found guilty for violation of any rules or regulations of the college or for any indisciplined act or behaviour. In this regard, the authority concerned re serves the sole rights and the student must abide by the decision.
  • Proper discipline in all classes and in the college campus are essential and College authorities reserve the right to take any punitive action for violation of the rules.
  • Any form of indiscipline or disorderly behavior in a vacant classroom or in any other place inside the campus and unnecessary loitering and gossiping in college corridors are strictly discouraged.
  • Any form of indecent and unlawful acts in the campus are strictly prohibited.
  •  Use of mobile phones in the classrooms,laboratories,library and college premises will be considered as a punishable offence.

7. MEETING WITH THE PRINCIPAL:

Students can meet the Principal between 2.00 p.m. and 4.00 p.m. from Monday to Friday and between 12.00 noon to 1.30 p.m. on Saturday (any urgency will duly be dealt with).

8. ATTESTATION:

For any attestation purpose student should approach the Head Clerk between 12.00 noon and 3.00 p.m. (any urgency will duly be dealt with).

9. NOTICES:

Students should take great care to look up the Notice Board and no excuse shall be considered if the notices on the Board are ignored.

10. USE OF LIBRARY:

  • Any student who takes books form library without permission or cuts pages out of library books will invite due penalties. Once a student has accepted a book, he/she is responsible for it. Students are advised to check a book properly before taking it.
  • Borrower may be duly fined for any type of damage made to a book.
  • All books may be called in at the Librarian’s discretion.
  • For issue of books library rules should strictly be followed.

11. CLEANLINESS:

Students must see that College property/walls are not damaged/defaced.

12. PERMISSION:

Students should not enter the Professor’s Room and controller’s Room without taking permission.
